Lawtey is a small community that is fortunate to be able to still
provide a local school for the area.

The very first school in Lawtey was provided by Thomas Burrin in the
late 1800's. Around 130 years later, the city of Lawtey still maintains
a school campus. The current school offers classes for grades K -
8th.

The current school campus is experiencing construction as new
buildings are being built to replace and increase classroom space.
