In December of 2007, the Trail Ridge Festival Organization approached the Lawtey City Council and made a request of turning the
old Lawtey Train Depot Building into a museum to preserve and protect a bit of Lawtey history. In January of 2008, the Lawtey City
Council approved the motion and plans are under way to transform the old train depot into a museum that will provide a look into
Lawtey's past and preserve one of the few remaining original structures of Lawtey.
As time progresses, more information will be posted.
If you would like to volunteer time, effort, materials, etc for the creation of the Lawtey Museum, then please contact Abbie Massey.
